Visit our Online Flea Market!

Good Monday Morning, ya'll!

We're going to start a new feature at fleaChic.com - at least once a week showcase an exceptional website or blog.  Some of you might already be familiar with life in grace; if not, you're in for a treat.

The site is hosted by Edie, a former family practice physician who chose to homeschool her children as a stay-at-home mom.  In her own words, she describes her tastes as an "eclectic, retro-cottage decorating style".

Last December, Edie's beautiful lake home burned to the ground and her family literally lost everything. Luckily, they were all safe and over the last year her blog entries have been about rebuilding their lives physically and spiritually.

How charming is a chandelier in an eat-in kitchen?!

What young sisters wouldn't love this bedroom?

There are very few places as relaxing as
your own back porch.

Not only does Edie post pictures of her own home,
she also has photos of her friends' houses:

In addition to decorating ideas, lifeingrace also
features recipes and 'before and after' photos:

Speaking of before and after, Kate at Centsational Girl offers a little inspiration for upcycling thrift store knit sweaters:

Last week my son, his wife, and their young family relocated to the charming village of Ashton, Maryland, outside of Washington, D.C.  They had just one week to move in, unpack, and get the children in school before he started a new position and she resumed her masters' program studies and internship.

At their request I flew up to help get the house organized, tackle some nagging little 'moving' challenges, and, generally, be the Alice to their Brady Bunch for a week.  I love it!

Though industriously unpacking, tending to pets, preparing meals, and tackling the mountain of laundry that is their daily existence, I hope to venture out into Ashton and share some of the unique aspects of the community with you.  In the meantime, hope you have a great Monday!
