How in this world did Friday get here so quickly?!

dramatic small kitchen make overs:

The magnificent stove deserved a beautiful

kitchen and, boy, did it get one.

 Gloomy, gloomy, gloomy:

Ah, so pretty and simple now:

 Painted cabinets, stainless steel appliances, a new light fixture

and re-stained floors completely changed this kitchen:

A Canadian couple restored the bathroom in their
MidCentury Modern rancher back to its original state:

Apartment Therapy

The original blue and white wall tiles were still in
place and they were able to march the floor tiles.

Let's switch gears and look at some much bigger projects.

A 1930s Art Deco apartment building in the Laurel Heights

area of San Francisco was given a surprisingly modern facelift:

As beautiful as this renovation turned out, I truly wish they had

restored the simple and elegant building back to its original design.

Very rarely do I write off a home as beyond saving
but I'd be tempted to throw in the towel on this one: 

 Stunning.




For these next two renovations, it might have
been less work to build completely new homes:

You'd think that it would be impossible to
change the profile of a split-level home:
