I miss sophistication.

I miss the time when you were admired and rewarded
for being exceptional, not common.

I miss innocence and mystery.

Is it possible to replace salacious with gracious?

  1. I think it is a little like trying to get the toothpaste back in the tube......unfortunately.

    1. Sadly, you might be right. Entertainers and tabloid wanna-bees will literally do anything for the shock value of publicity. How about they try something truly bizarre: cover up and be demure?!

  4. I love your Vogue covers, lovely. And totally agree with the sentiments - a return to sweetness and decency. I won't hold my breath though.

    1. For 10 years I've been saying that The Pendulum has to eventually reach the high point (low point?) of the Arc and will swing back to a time of graciousness and gentility. When will young women learn that covering up gives a sense of mystery instead of flaunting their 'assets'?

    1. We're so old fashioned at our house - say prayers at meals, use the "please and thank you". You're right, we have influence in our own homes and that's really where it all start, isn't it?

  6. I am so with you. I think as a family we appear rather dull but we have raised kids with good manners, a strong work ethic and a sense of decorum. they are doing extremely well in life.
