Moving is difficult; unpacking and putting away is excruciating.

Melissa Lee of Bespoke Only took on a daunting project when
she renovated the kitchen of her New York City townhouse:

Melissa's small kitchen opened out to her dining room
(which she used as a den) via a pass-thru on the right:

She had the contractor remove the wall/pass-thru and
opened up the space to make one large eat-in kitchen:

Yes, it's a picture of a large walk-in closet which
happens to have an amazing view of the lake.
The owners decided to relocate the closet
and make the space a spa-worthy bathroom:

With that view I would have been tempted to make it the kitchen!
Given my penchant for Mid-Century Modern pieces it
was almost painful to realize this hutch had been rehabbed:
Until I saw the result of the refreshing color treatment:

updated with brilliant honeycomb fabric:

room and made it warm and inviting.
