Welcome to another Before & After Friday. It's so
much fun to view the results of others' hard work.
Let's start with one of the hardest working rooms in the house:
The new sea blue wall paint is so cheerful.
Just wallpapering the wall behind the washer and dryer
made such a difference in this laundry room:
made such a difference in this laundry room:
Yikes. This home office was a chaotic mess:
Now they can get some work done.
In its before condition I can't even tell what
room of the house this is:
Oh, it's the dining room. Nice.
This bathroom's before condition wasn't bad
at all but the after really is nicer:
The dark valance, left, makes this room look boxy:

Look what a difference these drapes make when
they're hung a foot over the window top:
This apartment went from painfully bland to beautiful:
This family room was given a much needed update:
An apartment in Warsaw, Poland, was redecorated
with several pieces from IKEA:

Rotating the dining room table accented the length of the room.
A room always looks better when you let in the light:

I don't know if I'm on board with the dramatic two-tone
wall, right, but I definitely like the wainscoting:
Painting the cabinets gave this kitchen an updated look:
Love the chandelier!
It's almost impossible to believe that this is the same kitchen:
The bar cut this kitchen in half and made it look small:
Removing the bar completely changed
the dynamics of this kitchen:
Painting the cabinets and framing the mirror
were a quick fix for this bathroom:

A little bedroom that was tucked under the eaves:
. . . . was turned into a darling retreat:
Painting the walls a cheerful yellow makes the molding pop:

This bedroom was painfully bare:
The results of the makeover were enchanting
even before the artwork was hung:
I'm going to close today's post with a truly amazing renovation project.
A couple in Atlanta took on a 100+ year old former trolley depot and
turned it into a unique, contemporary home:

I hope that the young couple who transformed this historic
building won an award for their dedication and hard work.
Amazing, some really great transformations. I love the kitchen ones particularly. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteKitchen projects really interest me as we're about to tackle our own kitchen renovation. The last one - the old trolley depot - really blew me away. Hope you have a great weekend, too.
DeleteUsually it's the care and attention rather than the materials used that makes such a huge difference.

Wonderful !
Deletecheers, parsnip
Renovations definitely take commitment, patience, and dedication. And sometimes deep pockets!
DeleteUh-oh, my office is looking like a "before" picture. Mostly from the clutter, but if and when I get it cleaned up maybe I'll also come up with a clever update!
