Yippee!  It's Before & After Friday!
I want to apologize to those of you who thought that I might
feature some of my own B&A photos of Miss Money Pitt.
Alas, we're still scooting single-file between walls of boxes.
Moving is difficult; unpacking and putting away is excruciating.
Hopefully, I'll have some photos for you next Friday.

In the meantime let's oooh and aaaah at some amazing transformations.
Melissa Lee of Bespoke Only took on a daunting project when
she renovated the kitchen of her New York City townhouse:

Melissa's small kitchen opened out to her dining room
(which she used as a den) via a pass-thru on the right:

She had the contractor remove the wall/pass-thru and
opened up the space to make one large eat-in kitchen:

Stunning, isn't it?

Allison of Fab Rehab Creations is always on the hunt for dated
or distressed pieces of furniture that are in need of a make over.
Below is a darling chest of drawers that needed her special touch.

Take a close look at this 'Before' photo:
Yes, it's a picture of a large walk-in closet which
happens to have an amazing view of the lake.

The owners decided to relocate the closet
and make the space a spa-worthy bathroom:

With that view I would have been tempted to make it the kitchen!

Given my penchant for Mid-Century Modern pieces it
was almost painful to realize this hutch had been rehabbed:

Until I saw the result of the refreshing color treatment:

A dull Mid-Century Modern chair was
updated with brilliant honeycomb fabric:

Phoebe Howard took a stark white living
room and made it warm and inviting.

Emily of Chez V gave her bedroom a makeover with dramatic dark
paint, a chandelier, an upholstered headboard and new bedding:

The Eldorado Stone Company online showcase allows
you to see how 'designer stone' can transform your home.

This stone-enhanced makeover is called The Vino Wall and I love it:

Talk about architectural interest.  Wow!

The before fireplace is nice but a little
boring. The after is anything but boring:

This Old House recently featured readers' Before and After photos
of fireplace renovations.  Some of them are truly amazing.
Which is your favorite?

The 70's called and they want their stone back:

Taking the slate rock to the ceiling completely
changed the dynamic of this room:

By enlarging the mantel the owners corrected the proportions of their great room:

By replacing the stone with marble, wood and plaster the
owners took their family room from casual to classic:
