Didn't someone once say "An awesome view is priceless"?
If so, then this private home is invaluable.  Located in the
southern wilds of Alaska, it's a one-of-a-kind abode.
According to local legend, the original owner built the
bottomnost level shortly after a forest fire which meant the
house had an unobscured view of Mt. McKinley.
But, as the forest surrounding the house recovered, the owners' view
was obstructed by new foliage.  So he "simply" kept adding levels
to the house to stay above the canopy.  (Doesn't sound simple to me!)
Nicknamed "The Dr. Seuss house" the property stood abandoned
for many years but now has a new owner who has begun renovations.
Wonder when it will pop up on VRBO?!

  3. This reminds me of an oriental pagoda with the many layers.
