What's today?  You know it.  C'mon.  What's today?
Right!  It's a Before & After Friday!

And not just any Before & After Friday - today
we're going to view makeovers of flea market finds.

You know my view on painted wood but I have to admit that this
bow-front secretary is charming with a new coat of white paint:

Dated credenzas are ideal for makeover projects:

Makes an amazing serving station, doesn't it?

Has your television outgrown its entertainment cabinet?
Turn it into an efficient mini-office.

How darling is this end table after a little TLC?!
Belle Maison

A $30 Peruvian rug found at an L.A. flea market
chic-ly transformed these ordinary pet steps:
Casa Sugar

From ordinary to extraordinary:
The Hollie Rogue

Flea Market Style magazine is a wonderful
source for makeover ideas:

I love the hardbound books repurposed
into a faux-side table.

Precious!

A wrought-iron vanity chair received a charming facelift:
Before                                               After

Look what a difference a little spray paint
made on this flea market lamp:

How cute is the french script on the little plant stand?

Flea Market Style
Tellement sucrés!

This Mid-Century Modern chair was
given a sleek, sophisticated makeover:
Dollar Store Crafts

Since the antique chair, left, had major veneer damage
paint and upholstery treatments were used:
Better Homes and Gardens
The chair could have been re-veneered and
refinished but that's a very costly procedure.

Though not a flea market find these
beauties were found on Craigslist:

And this pair was actually found at a thrift shop
but I had to show you their darling do-overs:
Design Sponge

The DIY Network recently featured treasures found
at flea markets and given ingenious makeovers:

Before                                                         After
A rare 1960s wrought-iron vanity and chair were transformed
with period-appropriate fabric and paint color.

A burlap bag was dyed blue and used
to recover a precious little stool:

How 'bout we close today's post with my favorite
type of project - repurposed Befores & Afters:

Before                                                         After
Isn't this a wonderful idea for a
rustic Mason jar chandelier?

An ordinary set of metal lockers . . . .

. . . .  were transformed into a multi-use bench:

What can you do with an antique
wagon wheel rim and numbers?
Make an awesome bigger-than-life clock.

Lastly, converting a discarded and damaged
speed limit sign into an amazing shelf unit -
DIY Network
was pure genius.

Thanks for joining me today to view some stunning Before & After projects.
Have a great weekend and see you back here for a Repurposeful Monday.

  5. Wonderful makeovers! The top desk reminds me of the desk I have of my Grandpa's with all the little cubbies inside. I have held off painting it (though he would have thought I was silly because he wouldn't have cared at all...) but it has a tired finish and is just begging for paint. You have inspired me : )
