Meeting fellow blog hosts is one of the most positive experiences about
blogging.   Two recent acquaintances are Jen of Home Sweet Abode and
Susan of Butterfly and Bungalow.  Introducing them to fleaChic's followers
and readers is such a pleasure.

Both girls recently featured huge Before & After projects that simply must
be seen to be appreciated.  Having received permission to post the photos of
the transformations, I'm proud to share the highlights of both projects.

Project #1
Jen's sister and brother-in-law, Kim and Rob, purchased their first home,
a 1950s split-level, that has great 'bones' but needed a kitchen update.

Before:                           Yes, quite dated but definitely has potential.

               After:

You're already gasping, aren't you?!

These hanging lamps are amazing.  Kim and Rob wisely chose fixtures that
reflect the retro feel of the house and are also contemporary and colorful.

It's the custom details that add a professional touch to this innovation - glass
front cabinets, the built-in wine rack and shelving, and beautiful tile work.

Not only did Kim and Rob complete this wonderful project on time, they
stayed within their budget.  For more photos and details on their make-
over, please visit Jen's site, Home Sweet Abode.  Thank you, Jen, Kim, and
Rob for allowing us a peek at your beautiful kitchen!

Project #2
Susan, of Butterfly and Bungalow, and her husband undertook a massive project
that many of us have dreamed about but never had the courage - they renovated
an entire house!

Before:
I'm going to be kind and describe this little treasure as drab.
Isn't it wonderful that Susan saw the potential?

(Prepare yourself.)

After:
Wow!  Simply wow.

The neighbors must be thrilled with the re$ult$.  Every property
in the area just increa$ed in value due to Susan's family's hard work.

Don't you love the porch ceiling?!

Landscaping is one of the most important finishing
touches when it comes to a renovation.  Great job!

Susan's daughters are to thank for the darling Adirondack chairs
on the front porch.  They spotted them out on the street on Trash Day
and persuaded their father to bring them home and work his magic.

     Before:

After:

I want to sincerely thank Jen (and Kim & Rob) and Susan for
allowing me to share today's projects with you.  Please visit
their sites for more information and photos:

  1. I just love before and after photos. They are so inspiring. Another thing that I love is white kitchens. Nothing looks cleaner and more homey to me than a pretty white kitchen. Thanks for sharing . . . Bravo to all the hard work and creative minds.
