Let's Make Something Beautiful
You're probably thinking, "ice cream company?!" Tara and Percy are avid antiquers and designers who came across a vintage embossed Jersey Ice Cream Company stamp at a flea market a few years ago. The name inspired them to resurrect the charm and style of years past through their many renovation projects.
Check out their improvements in this neglected little attic space:
Darling, isn't it?
Not satisfied to just improve a room, Tara and Percy want
to bring back the quaint endearments of the room's past:

Take a few moments to stop by The Jersey Ice Cream Company. You'll
be hearing a lot more about Tara Mangini and Percy Bright in the future.
While not all of us are ready to take on an entire room,
here are a few projects that can be completed in a weekend:
Craig's List is a great source for finding affordable china cabinets
that can be used as display cases or end tables that would look
precious in a little girl's room:

The results of this next project are simply amazing:

If you don't want to build your own hutch, look for a short
book case at a thrift shop that can be stacked on a dresser.
How many of us would have walked right past
the pitiful night stand on the left at a yard sale?
Probably most of us would have passed on this little
gem. We would have been wrong, wouldn't we?
While we're on the subject of night stands,
look what Emily Messick did with one:
Emily made a bed for her puppy! So sweet.
This next renovation was actually an Act of Mercy:

What a wonderful rescue of a distressed little table.
This guest bedroom makeover might take longer than an
extended holiday weekend but the results are worth it:
Simply beautiful.
What a lovely image to end today's post. Enjoy the remainder
of the holiday and I'll meet you back here on Monday.
Enjoyed this post, though I preferred some of the "befores" to the "afters.":-)

I totally need to take a break from food this week... I think the whole watermelon is IN my belly.
ReplyDeleteI love the rooms at the beginning of the post. I also like the white china cabinet. I am not always a fan of painted furniture, but this looks just right.
