A new Christmas tradition at our house -

Christmas Eve Prep Kits!
 Jack and Caitlin, our 4-year-old grandtwins from Minnesota are down
here for Christmas and we're thrilled beyond description to have
them (and their parents, too!) with us.
 Tonight the twins will open their Christmas Prep Kits which include
holiday pajamas, a Christmas dvd, a flashlight (in case we have to
investigate mysterious sounds on the roof), books to read, a magic
sponge tree that will grow overnight, and reindeer food to set out for
Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen,
Rudolph and Olive.
You do remember Olive, don't you?  Just sing the song and it'll jog your memory -

"Olive, the other reindeer, use to laugh and call him names;
they never let poor Rudolph join in any reindeer games."

The twins just helped ice the cookies we're setting out with milk for Santa
and we've gone through the check list - stockings hung, the chimney was
cleaned, and the tree is lit.  It's time to leave for the Christmas Eve church
service.  The only thing that would make tonight more special would
be if all of the family could be with us.

From our home to yours - best wishes for a joyful holiday!
