Gosh, it seems as if it's been a long time since there's been any repurposing around here:
How cool are these wash tub light fixtures?
Vintage bicycle handle bars and a seat were given another life.
Most of us have had (or still have?!) a TV cabinet in our lives.
What a darling idea to turn it into a play kitchen.
You're smiling. Oh, yes you are.
You're right - those ARE mouse trap magnets!
A Louisiana boat maker wanted to salvage something
from hurricane-damaged boats so he chopped off the
end of one and made this cool sofa.
Finally, large dogs don't have to bend way
over for their food and water - brilliant!
The knights, kings and queens for this chess set
were made from nuts and bolts. The board is
a painted piece of sheet metal.
You're smiling again! The creator of this little
darling placed a latex love inside a vintage cloth
glove then poured Plaster of Paris inside of it and
shaped it into this whimsical creation.
Instead of defaulting to the traditional 'art above
the sofa' scheme, consider standing a beautiful
screen behind your sofa. Charming.
Tired of standing the ironing board up in a
corner of the laundry room? Use a pair of
vintage coat hooks to give it a little lift.
Speaking of vintage coat hooks, why relegate
them to the mud room? A nursery or child's
room is the perfect place to 'hang' them up!
I hope today's post provided a little inspiration.

Paula, thanks for the kind words. I started blogging in earnest about 9 months ago and, really, just write for my own enjoyment. I'll definitely check out the link party. Again, thanks! -- Jan
Deletethese are fantastic re-do's. I am trying to fix up my laundry room with an aged look. I am so excited to make the ironing board hanger you featured! Thanks for all the great ideas.
ReplyDeleteI, too, am considering a major laundry room overhaul. It's a room we spend a lot of time in but very few of us actually decorate. You've inspired me to do a post on unique laundry decor! Thanks, Jan
