Officially Fall

Today is the
First Day of Autumn!

Our internal clocks
are whispering,

"Enjoy this brief balmy weather before Winter's
white sleep."

Life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the Fall.
The Great Gatsby, F. Scott Fitzgerald

The trees are on fire, lit in brilliant, brief colors.
A fire . . . it is as well for cheerfulness as for warmth and dryness. -- Henry David Thoreau

Can you hear the thump of acorns falling on the roof ?

Pull out the wool yarn and knitting needles.

Bring in more logs and make room for the dogs 'round the hearth.

It's time to decorate pumpkins, make husk wreaths,
and use lots of orange and brown paint!
