A friend gave me an old wood ironing board that had belonged to her
grandmother.  I tried to convince her to repurpose it and keep it as a
family memento.  She insisted that I take it and I gladly accepted.
Now I have to find a charming use for it.

With such inspiring photos I don't think I'm going to have
any trouble at all repurposing the beloved old ironing board.

    I have one that I use in my craft room for lengthening the pine table or sometimes as a book shelf.

    I love these ideas! I have three of these old ironing boards. One I actually use, one stands in the corner, and one is child size. All three are in my sewing room.
