Wall stencils and decals

While painting is the most economical form of a wall treatment, sometimes you want to add
a little 'umpht' - a degree of depth and interest without the expen$e and labor of wallpaper.

The solution(s):  wall decals or stencils

Cutting Edge Stencils is a great source for unusual and custom-looking stencils.
Their tutorials are easy and the results are unique and charming:

Designer Jenilee Raia used a cobblestone-type stencil but
chose shades of lavender and mauve.  Unique and cool!

Royal Design Studio is another great online source for stencils and decals.

This ain't your grandma's border stencils from the 80's:

These stencils are cool, hip, chic, and . . . . well, awesome!

The white stencil on the black wall is dramatic and textural.

There are those among us with hidden talents just waiting to burst
forth.  Don't suppress your artistic urges - release them and create
a custom mural or scene-scape:

If you're crafty, cut out patterns or squares of your favorite fabric,
starch the pieces then use fabric spray adhesive to paper the wall:

Blue painter's tape will be your best friend if you want to create an interesting stripe:

Chevron stripes are hot right now so get out the tape and get started:

Industrial Chic introduced a commercial
touch to our interiors and I like it!

Whether you experiment with a stencil, decal, or free-hand art just remember - if  you don't like it,
paint over it or take it down.  But you might be surprised at how much you love it!
