How 'bout we celebrate Friday with a few Before & After projects?

                                                                                                                                       Restoration Redoux

A paint job and a little trim molding
completely transformed this bookcase:

A great source for finding old cabinets is a Habitat For Humanity resale shop:

Janet at Cottage Blessings turned a thrift shop lamp into a side table treasure:

The next time you're browsing in a thrift shop or at a yard sale,
consider taking home a little jewelry box and giving it a makeover:

LOVE the button drawer pulls!
Tip:  At thrift shops I always check the clothes clearance rack for outfits
that have interesting buttons.  Have you priced buttons lately?!
It's hard to believe these are the same basement stairs, isn't it?
 Amazing and so inspiring!

This sad little cabinet was distressed but not in
a good way.  Now, he's presentably distressed:

Here's a contemporary re-do for a little cabinet:

Pondered, Primed, Perfected

How much do you love this secretary transformation?!

 Before:                                                                                      After:

Great job!

We've all seen chairs like this one at yard sales, just begging to be taken home:

Gamer With a Hammer
The contrast is almost unbelievable, isn't it?

Maybe you'll find your own 'before' project this weekend.  Happy hunting!

  11. Lovely transformations. I just recently bought an old patio set--- all the cushions need to be recovered and the set needs to be painted, but the potential is still there :-)
