Bob and I had every intention of buying an artificial Christmas
tree but, in the end, we chose a real Blue Spruce:
We've promised ourselves that we'll keep an eye out for after-Christmas
-sales of artificial trees and try to pick one up for next year.
It looks wonderful and I bet the smell is amazing too. I have an artificial one but each yearn for a real one. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteA real tree and a crackling fire - Christmas perfection!
DeleteI love a real tree but they give me hayfever so we have an artificial one by default. Your blue spruce is lovely.

Bob sneezed a lot wrangling it into the house. We purchased it from a non-profit Children At Risk tree lot and they were so grateful that we bought from them. Unfortunately, needles are already starting to drop off!
DeleteYour tree is stunning! Who does the decorating? Jx
ReplyDeleteBob did the 'manual labor' of cutting off the bottom branches and setting it in the stand. I decorated the tree. What you can't really see because the photo is a little blurry are all of the ornaments from many years past. The large round red circle toward the center bottom is granddaughter Caitlin's hand print from when she was 3 yrs old. Her twin, Jack, has a blue one that matches it but it didn't show up. Lots of love on display!
DeleteBeautiful, Jan...and the perfect window to showcase it! I have had an artificial tree for 48 years, since finding out my son was allergic to real ones. He has since outgrown the allergy, but I still keep using the faux...now messy needles to clean up or remembering to fill the stand with water.
