Take a deep breath.  Do you smell that?

"What?  Spring?" you ask.

No, goose.  Here's a clue: the delicious scent of romance, hope, anxiety, flowers, cake.

That's right - love is in the air!

Which means it's Wedding Season.

I've always been fascinated by antique and vintage wedding photos
and today we're going to enjoy some beautiful, classic bridal portraits.
The lace of most of these mantillas and
veils was hand made as were the gowns.


I don't know when these two photographs
were colorized but the tones are a little off.


Her train is as heavy as a comforter.

Today's brides certainly have an abundance of beautiful choices
when it comes to picking out the perfect wedding dress.  But,
for a truly unique creation, they might want to take a look at
stunning gowns from the past.
