How sweet repurposing is, especially during Valentines Day week!
The colorful labels on these vintage wooden
spools add a festive touch, don't they?
Got a Christmas bow, some wire and a little extra burlap
lying around? If so then you're ready to make this darling
Valentines Day heart wreath.
A deck of cards from the Dollar Tree - to get 13 hearts - and
some ribbon scraps are all you'll need to make this cute banner.
Here are two neat uses for paint color sample cards:
Such sweet bookmarks.
A glue gun, spray paint and twigs are all that
were used to make this dear woodsy heart.

Need an inexpensive idea for a flower vase? Just
paint and lightly sand a canning jar - instant vase!
A couple of weeks ago I found vintage clipboards
at one of my local thrift haunts for less than a
dollar each. They're great for displaying art.
Who knew newspapers could make such darling roses?
You can find cabinet doors like this one at a Habitat For Humanity
thrift store and they've extremely reasonable - I'm talking a couple of
dollars! Chalk board paint the bottom and decoupage a design
on top for instant signage.
Ladders are great for displaying all types of things or for just
holding books. And how cute are these valentines made from doilies?
These hearts were cut out of old book pages
then strung together to make garlands.
Do you and your sweetheart have a special song?
Use the sheet music of that song as the backing to
frame your special Valentines Day message.
It's hard to believe that this beautiful Valentines
Day arrangement cost less than $5! Print out a
multiple calligraphy page of your anniversary
date and spray paint a used frame. Sponge paint
old vases, arrange bare branches and cut out
tissue paper hearts to decorate. Elegant!
I love them all. Absolutely gorgeous!

ReplyDeleteYour blogging sister, Connie :)
I should have blogged this post a few weeks ago, shouldn't I? Now that we have "long distance" little ones, I fly to their houses instead of decorating our own. And I too have bookmarked a zillion holiday decorating ideas!
DeleteHey, chicky! Been following when I can, but hadn't let you know (sorry!). Will miss seeing you this week-end, but hope to be around in the next couple of months...Nancy
